Faculty studio in Marseille

The agency

A Marseille agency built to be accountable for the whole chain.

Faculty was created in 2024 to end a familiar problem: a strategy written by one company, produced by a second, installed by a third, and owned by nobody when the date arrives. Four departments, one team, one contract.

Our story

Founded in Marseille, built around production reality.

Faculty was founded in Marseille in September 2024 by Ali Guerroui, after years spent on the client side of campaigns that looked perfect in a presentation and fell apart in production. The diagnosis was always the same: the people writing the message were never the people responsible for delivering it.

So the agency was assembled the other way around. Strategists sit next to a print manager, an LED specialist and an event producer. A claim is challenged for provability, a layout for its cutting plan, a stand for its power draw — before anything is signed off.

From our base on rue Grignan we work across Marseille, the PACA region and the rest of France, for retail networks, property developers, hospitality groups, public institutions and cultural organisers.

How we work

Four commitments we are happy to be held to.

01

One named contact

You never re-explain the project. A single project manager holds the brief, the budget and the calendar from first call to teardown.

02

Written before promised

Constraints, dates, responsibilities and exclusions are written down. If it is not in the document, it is not in the plan.

03

Provable claims only

We do not put a promise on a wall that the business cannot keep. Strategy is tested against what you actually deliver.

04

On site, not on call

The people who designed the project are present when it is installed, and stay until it works.

The team

Six specialists who each own a stage of the chain.

No account layer between you and the people doing the work. Each of them is reachable, and each is accountable for a named part of your project.

Ali Guerroui — Founder & President, Faculty

Ali Guerroui

Founder & President

Strategy · Client direction

Ali founded Faculty in Marseille in 2024 after years spent watching good campaigns fail in production — the deck approved, the printer late, the screen the wrong brightness, nobody answering on the morning of the show. He built an agency where strategy is written by the people who will also be on site when it is installed. He leads positioning work himself and stays the named contact on every major project.

Responsibilities

  • Positioning & message architecture
  • Client direction & budgets
  • Marseille & PACA network
Claire Vasseur — Brand & Communication Director, Faculty

Claire Vasseur

Brand & Communication Director

Brand strategy · Editorial · PR

Claire turns a business objective into a message that can survive being printed three metres wide and repeated by reception staff at a trade show. She runs brand platforms, identity systems, editorial lines and press relations, and she is the one who insists a claim be provable before it goes on a wall.

Responsibilities

  • Brand platforms & guidelines
  • Editorial & content plans
  • Regional and trade press
Marc Leroy — Print & Production Manager, Faculty

Marc Leroy

Print & Production Manager

Print · Signage · Fabrication

Twenty-five years around large-format presses, cutting tables and vehicle wrapping. Marc reads a design file for what it will cost, how it will fold and whether it will survive a season outdoors. He owns colour management, substrate choice, cutting plans and every print-ready file that leaves the studio.

Responsibilities

  • Colour management & proofing
  • Substrates & finishing
  • Signage and vehicle wrapping
Yannis Koné — Digital Media Lead, Faculty

Yannis Koné

Digital Media Lead

LED · Screens · Content playback

Yannis specifies, maps and commissions LED walls, totems and interactive kiosks — then makes sure the content actually plays at the right brightness on the right day. He builds the template libraries and playlist systems that let clients run their own screen networks after handover.

Responsibilities

  • LED specification & mapping
  • Playback systems & playlists
  • Client training & support
Léa Ferrand — Events & Show Production Director, Faculty

Léa Ferrand

Events & Show Production Director

Build · Logistics · Safety

Léa runs the part of the job that has a clock on it: load-in slots, venue regulations, power, rigging, crew, capacity calculations and safety files. From a 180 m² stand to a 6,000-capacity festival, she writes the schedule everyone signs and stays on site until teardown is finished.

Responsibilities

  • Stand build & event logistics
  • Prefecture & safety files
  • Crew and hostess staffing
Hugo Berthier — Project Manager, Faculty

Hugo Berthier

Project Manager

Planning · Budgets · Reporting

Hugo keeps the promise dates real. He translates a signed quote into a production calendar, chases proofs, tracks deliveries and sends the weekly update nobody has to ask for. If a date is going to move, you hear it from him early — with two options.

Responsibilities

  • Production planning
  • Budget tracking
  • Weekly client reporting
